I will never understand why someone would think that murder is somehow a way to get closer to God.
Islam is a Trojan horse for this radical political ideology.
And the West's extreme political correctness, particularly on the political Left, is the open gate.
There were originally 778 detainees at GITMO, close to 700 have been released and some have returned to terrorist activities. That individual was held for 10 years before release, if he wasn't a terrorist before sure is now.
Tilt your head to the left a little. There you go, feel better now that more sand has fallen out?
That's the difficult part of this. Based on nearly every interview done with relatives, friends and co-workers, these people act perfectly normal. Until they don't.
Not too different than mass shooters.
Obviously the mother of the Sandy Hook shooter had no clue her son was capable of violence.
I haven't read the comments yet, but I can imagine the normal pinheads blaming the entire religion again and not these fringe extremists.
You would have to be a pinhead to believe that they are merely a fringe element. Terrorism is supported or at least tolerated by a large fraction of Muslims around the world.
This is just so sad and scary. And while I'm glad our country will offer solace and support to the Belgians, I'm also afraid we will still ignore extremists and terrorists and we will be stung again.
Molenbeek, Belgium has had connections to the France train terrorist, the Charlie Hebdo attackers, Paris shooters, and close to 100 ISIS fighters. However, "supposedly" it isn't the 70-80% of Muslim population there that is the problem, it is the 35% of unemployment, not a big enough of a social safety net for immigrants and 2nd generation in Belgium that disaffects the youth...not Islam!!!
It is absolutely the high unemployment and even higher youth underemployment rate that couples with a disenfranchised population that makes people ripe for radicalization at the behest of influential individuals - in this case, religion. We see it in the US with gang violence, too. Gangs aren't springing up in areas where poverty and unemployment doesn't run rampant, and the same is true of Islamists.
