Yes, some wealthy kids are recruited just like some wealthy kids find their way into gangs. It's rare. We know most of the terrorist activity in Belgium and France is coming out of low income, high unemployment areas with a high Muslim population often leaving those who live there feeling outside of society.
The Quran is no different from the Torah (what you may call the Old Testament). Both are violent books when taken out of context. Both have radical groups (and yes, that includes Christian and Jewish groups) that choose to take portions out of context to promote violence.

Personally, I think the loudest voices against this type of violence should be those moderate Muslims but I'm just not seeing it. That, to me, is my primary issue with even those who proclaim to be moderate Muslims.
I haven't read the comments yet, but I can imagine the normal pinheads blaming the entire religion again and not these fringe extremists.
When will people like you understand that the number of Muslim 'fringe extremists' IS VERY LARGE?? Namely there are MILLIONS of them around the world that seem to have no other purpose in life except to cause as much death, pain and suffering as they can before they die?
And when will you acknowledge that Islam is A BAD RELIGION that brainwashes people to do bad things? Even if you forget about the terrorism for a moment, just look at all the crime and violence they commit in western countries RIGHT NOW. All the rapings of women, the sexual abuse of children, the violence on our streets and how they make entire areas that they populate be unfriendly and even dangerous to non-Muslims. Even without the terrorism, how can you say Muslims don't cause us ending problems and grief? I seriously don't know how people like you can have the gall to come out and defend Muslims and Islam EVERY SINGLE TIME they commit a terrorist attack or other crime against us.
To put it another way, Muslims are like a violent, angry husband and western people are like the battered and abused wife who no matter how many times she's being beaten by her husband, we STILL somehow find a way to say its OUR FAULT for provoking them into violence. And instead of doing the smart thing and taking ACTION against her abusive husband we instead say 'I'm sorry hubby for getting you angry enough that you needed to beat me, I'll try even harder to not do or say anything to offend you in the future'.
Will people EVER understand that you cannot ever do enough to appease Muslims? That the more you excuse their violent and criminal behavior the more that they'll continue to commit these acts of terror? How many more deaths and injuries from terrorism on our own soil will it take for Muslim apologists to finally say enough is enough??
