It's the Politics and Controversies board. We're discussing the politics of the situation - not surprising given the forum. Social media (a la Facebook) is a perfect place to express your empathy. Feel free to do so.

How misinformed you are.

I sure hope you didn't actually graduate from somewhere.

Leftists love these attacks as they get to have a victimfest.

Why would anyone assume that just because there aren't pages and pages of posts saying 'RIP' and 'Prayers and thoughts for the families', that we haven't stopped and said a prayer? I speak for myself when I say that I did.

Honestly, this isn't facebook or twitter, it's a discussion forum and this kind of thing WILL happen here again. There isn't anything selfish or unsympathetic in expressing that instead of posts expressing sadness for the families.

How offensive.

Don't be offended.

Typical lefty sanctimonious tripe meant to distract from the problem they support and cannot defend..

It's just another fine demonstration of smug, self-congratulatory response from bleeding heart progressives who believe that false platitudes like FB avatar overlays and a couple days of Internet arguments in defense of Muslim people are more valuable and righteous than plain open discussion about what occurred, how it leaves us feeling, and what we think should be done about it. Nope, shaming people for speaking their minds and attempting to silence them via the guilt card is the progressive's preferred method of squelching speech they don't like.

Is Trump wrong with insisting that we do a better job of vetting? Is this what we want for America.
Ted Cruz has said this too, and said this morning that we should absolutely stop Obama's plan to bring thousands of Muslim "refugees" into the USA until we have some way to vet them properly and completely, because ISIS has said they will infiltrate the USA through this program.

Ted Cruz sounded like a President speaking this morning on Fox. Yet RNC continue to ignore him, apparently trying now to shove John Kasich down our throats.

See, I told you it would start! The left is beginning to blame the victims again, like they did in San Bernardino.

You mean give condolences to the victims of this attack? You're right. Maybe you too could give some words instead of turning it into a political agenda.

Just sit down and be quiet. You obviously didn't pay attention in history class and you're embarrassing yourself with your ignorance.

There is NOTHING that Europeans have done to the rest of the world that hasn't been done to them in the past as well!

I'm so tired of idiots whose sense of history seems to begin in 1500. It's also a failing of a Eurocentric education system that fails to hold up a mirror to other parts of the world, and instead focuses only on it's own wrongs.

Up until just he 20th century one of the world's largest Islamic Empire (the Ottomans) subjugated, controlled, raped and colonized a large swath of Eastern Europe!!!! The same Turks who now want to be part of the EU committed mass genocide of Christian Armenians! And we wonder why today eastern Europe refuses to let in "migrants" from the middle east! They've learned from history, having been on the receiving end of Islam's expansionist wars of conquest for centuries. More power to them.

For hundreds of years waves of successive Islamic invasions from the Middle East and Africa have both failed to conquer some places in Europe (Asutria at the gates of Vienna) and succeeded in others (Spain).

Grow up. Read a history book. Stop being such a Quisling.
