Jerry Ford, everyone said he was an honest man.

The contrast with his successor was enormous.

Ron Paul. The best libertarian choice so far.

The 21st century?

You're not giving us very many choices.

The 21st century started in the year 2000.

But if we're limited to that, the obvious answer is TRUMP.

Trump 2016, 2020!

You ask "why Trump?"

Because...

1) He is not being bought by special interests

2) He rejects political correctness

3) He's a successful businessman and executive

4) He wants to secure the border, stop all federal funding to sanctuary cities and states, make e-verify mandatory, deport the illegals, limit legal immigration, and stop the flood of cheap foreign labor into this country when so many Americans are unemployed.

5) He wants to renegotiate our trade deals, which have resulted in tens of thousands of factories and tens of millions of good American jobs being sent overseas.

Our politicians -- in BOTH parties -- have been bought by special interests and have screwed over ordinary Americans for the last fifty years.

Trump is the ONLY candidate who has put his finger on what has happened to this country and the things that need to be done to fix the problem.

Ron Paul by a wide margin because I agree with almost all of his political positions.

My ideal candidate apparently hasn't been born yet, I guess I'll have to wait.

I honestly have to say, Jessie Jackson in 1984. He was Bernie Sanders before Bernie Sanders but there is no doubt that when it comes to pure orational chops few can compare with Jackson. His 1984 speech before the '84 Democratic Convention is considered one of the top 100 speeches in American history.
