We have a number of particularly vile groups in the US. Ones who's leaders call for the murder of those that are not like them. That demand the genocide of other ethnic groups. Ones who's members have not just said those things, but committed vile acts on American citizens. Ones that preach hatred, generate unrest and foment violence. Others that work to suppress the rights and freedoms of American citizens.

So, the question is, what can the government, police and prosecutors, do about these groups? Can ones that promote violence be prosecuted under RICO laws, the same as organized crime? Can leaders be charged for conspiracy to commit or promote murder or other crimes? Just what acts are actually prosecutable?

Hmmm....that's a hard call.

As long as they don't do anything, I don't think we should do anything to them. Talk is cheap.

But if they actually attack someone, we should arrest the attackers. I'm not a believer in closing down radical groups over words.

We should exterminate them all. There, problem solved. Christian extremists, muslim extremists, skinheads, redheads, deadheads, potheads, deadbeats, politicians, put them at the head of the list. Gays, no wait not gays, I'm gay. Criminals, people with naughty thoughts, lawyers, definately lawyers. .

Basically I think we are all just stuck with one another.

Be considerate of others, don't threaten to kill me and I won't need to defend myself. Don't push your beliefs on someone else if they aren't interested. Get along.

Ignore them. Make fun of them. Publish their names in the paper. Post their picture on front page of newspaper.

They would have to break an existing Law, same as you or anyone else. You have to be actually planning something with evidence that you are going to break a Law. You can't be arrested for talking about wanting to blow up a building, but can be if your gathering materials to do it with at the same time.

As long as the don't physically hurt anyone nothing. Now, the real question is why they let Black Lives Matters and Anti-Trump groups loot, attack people, burn down property, steal cars, burglarize business etc and not put them in cuffs or shoot them with rubber bullets. The problem isn't the voice it's the action.

Let's take Muslim terrorists. In my opinion we should wipe them from the face of the planet.

Don't you think that's a more appropriate question verses getting our panties in a twist over someone else views?

If you're talking about true hate crimes, such as those committed by the KKK in the past, there are already laws on the books for that. There are also laws that protect age, religion, sexual orientation, on and on.

The only laws that apply to protesters are the same that apply to any person. If they don't break the law, they can't be detained (although they often are, or pepper sprayed).

Can political candidates be held responsible for promoting violence? Obviously not, so don't expect a double standard for people you don't agree with...
