I mean, I think it would be a good idea.

Spying on you in front of your face or spying on you behind your back?

The statist world is one of tough decisions...I suppose.

Patriot Act in my opinion:

Don't give a reason to be watched, you won't be watched.

Period.

Keep the patriot act.

It appears that it will always be both.

The government answers to no one so making rules for it is truly the height of mental masturbation.

It is tax season. I understand the need to publicly support the government with such fervor.

I don't have any problem with the patriot act personally, and I don't see Trump wanting to repeal it, as he has authoritarian tendencies in him in some respects... they mostly monitor terrorists and to a lessor degree child porn types... maybe if you do this stuff, or deal drugs, you have something to worry about. Who cares if they are even listening to private phone conversations? What you don't know won't hurt you.

Bernie voted against it. A president can't repeal it. That would be up to Congress which is why questions like this are stupid. A president can veto future extensions and Bernie is the most likely to do that based upon his past record.
