Most of us are not potential targets for assassination. There are quite valid reasons for restricting guns in an arena where Presidential candidates are attending that would not apply in the same arena if they were not there. JFK learned that the hard way.

The simplistic stupidity of debates on this site is truly getting annoying.

Perhaps the Repubs read the new NRA propaganda meant for their children ... well, maybe not just their children.

I'm flag waving 2nd Amendment but I say no guns. If it was just people from the Right attending I wouldn't care but mixing Lefties with guns is like matches and babies. I've already seen these animals on tv. How are they going to be responsible with a gun if they can't even be responsible with themselves???

Some Lefty wrapper shoving a 38 down his undies and accidentally blowing off his penis at a Trump rally, pretty much a media wet dream

I am really curious what they are going to do. It is a lose-lose situation for the GOP.

This post nails it. Gun shows seem to only attract gun enthusiasts and an occasional news team looking for a story.

Having paid activists sneaking into a political event, not to ask a tough question but to incite a riot is a problem. If protesters could be in the Supreme court vs outside, how well would that work?

The days where proud pink peacefully protested by getting media coverage by marching OUT is long gone. Now the purpose is to yell fire in a crowded movie theater. Disagreement has changed to disruption.

The bigger worry would be Republicans bringing in their toddlers with guns. Because that's how responsible they are.

As a gun owner and a conceal license holder, we are taught to respect the wishes of private areas. If a store has a no gun policy, we have no problem respecting their wishes or we do not enter. I was also taught that there may be restrictions at places such as public gatherings. Again, not a problem. It is then my own decision whether to attend or not. We are not allowed to conceal in certain places such as bars that serve alcohol. I can understand the reason behind that rule and have no problem with it. I can also understand why guns wouldn't be allowed at a convention for a presidential candidate. It's common sense. The democrats don't seem to have common sense anymore and want to make an issue of it?

Are the Democrats signing this petition? Actually now that you mention it, they should and inflate the numbers!
