Can and do. There are nearly 3 million Muslims living in America right now after all...

Is that where you got an open door policy from this address?

Probably the most misleading and phony title for a thread since yesterday's Obama hater thread starter.

I see mom's basement is busy tonight.
1) He has no strategy to defeat ISIS.

2) ISIS doesn't give a rip about any "example" we set. Obama incorrectly assumes that ISIS has actual standards and mutual respect. Obama is too chicken to admit that ISIS is a swarm of murderous insects that need to be annihilated. He just doesn't have it in him.

1) Who has a strategy to defeat ISIS? Who, and please provide those details different from what is currently being done...

2) What shred of evidence have you got to back up what you say Obama thinks?

Nice rhetoric though! Substance check -- nadda, but nice rhetoric!

The group statistics are what matter.
I agree, and along those lines, statistically the biggest threat to Americans are right wing terrorist militias.
The gov't should take them out.

What Obama doesn't have in him is this cowboy mentality that has plagued our foreign policy in the Middle East for decades. Just look at this history before Obama even appeared on the scene..., see anything you like? Progress made anywhere? ANYTHING?

What Obama had in him is the forethought to oppose the invasion of Iraq, also the leadership to get us out, plus the intelligence not to blunder America right back in, helping us to avoid the same pointless investment of American lives and military expense with little-to-no ROI.

Not to recognize all this is to be a knucklehead, and most likely a blindly conservative one!

This is the location where many of the European immigrants departed from Europe for Ellis Island during the late 19th and early 20th centuries for America. They were coming from places like Germany, Eastern Europe (hotbeds for socialism) and Italy (anarchist and mafia central). They were very poor. Many of them could barely afford the ticket to the train station and aboard a transatlantic ship in steerage. They were coming from areas with infectious disease. I stood in the area where they were examined by doctors and either given the green light to proceed or were turned back to their countries of origin.

They came and they became Americans. They spoke multiple languages, worshiped in a myriad of ways and had diverse and in many cases revolutionary political ideas. None of that mattered when they got here. They embraced the opportunities that this land afforded them and helped to build a bigger and greater union. I read countless letters from these people at the museum describing places like Chicago, Indiana and Louisiana as wonderlands of plenty where the old restrictions and strictures of the old world no longer applied. Many of these people are your great grandparents. (Mine immigrated from Ulster in the early 1700s .. they too were considered undesirables and were pushed out to the scrub lands of Indian country in western North Carolina.)

Obama is a much finer American than those of you who disparage him. He understands what America is and what it is supposed to be about. Yes, Arabs and Muslims can assimilate too. They do. I've seen it in my own family. I've watched my Moroccan brother in law become an American before my eyes. This is a land of rich, wonderful opportunity when compared to most other countries. Yes, some places in western Europe have equally high standards of living, but they are closed to outsiders. Always have been -- probably always will be. America is not. It's a damn, damn shame that Germany -- Germany -- is taking more immigrants than we are. We have the space. We have the know-how. We need to open our borders to those who are fleeing ISIS. They can and should find a safe harbor here, on our shores, as your ancestors have done.

There's always an excuse to keep them out -- oh, but they're Catholic .. that's a bridge too far. Oh, they're not white enough ... you know how non whites be.... their political ideas are too extreme. This is all nonsense. The admission of Syrians would enrich our country. Those who are fleeing ISIS want what everyone wants.. the opportunity to pursue happiness in peace.

Did you just say that with a straight face?

You can e sure that the Pentagon has a strategy for defeating ISIS. It is a military problem. But it requires applying far more force than Obama is willing to commit too. Obama has established a reputation of ignoring his commanders.

You want evidence that Obama fears committing to fighting ISIS? He can't even bring himself to call them Islamic extremists. He won't even bomb ISIS convoys or oil facilities because of fear.

Obama is a Weakling. The idea that he's anything other than that is laughable.

Just... wow.

Obama opposed going into Iraq because he's a radical Leftist. The only war he is willing to wage is Class war. And that's exactly what he has done.

I read each of your words slower than usual, because I thought you might include a specific, but nope, nothing.

Not sure how closely you follow politics, but Obama has made clear what most of the GOP contenders for POTUS claim they would do differently are nothing different than what is already being done. Consider as well that Obama has the benefit of daily briefings and intelligence that most GOP blusterheads don't, and there you have my reason for asking what you are also blustering about -- specifically.

Even your trust that "the Pentagon has a strategy for defeating ISIS" suggests you have no idea what that means, but let's be critical of Obama regardless, that's truly rich. I have yet to hear any cogent strategy put forward by any political or military leader as to strategy other than to contain the problem to where ISIS forces are known to be strongest, no more or less. Or maybe this secret Pentagon strategy is like the one we proved so successful in Iraq? You REALLY want to go back to that mess? Got kids you are willing to throw in into that bargain while you're at it?
