So communists in 1980s in the USSR were conservatives?

Left/right and liberal/conservative are mostly nonsensical terms with no real logically consistent meaning.

lmao...

It's okay though, I think the OP was looking for a more "one group works and the other takes" generalization. Pardon me for giving an actual answer.
So...
You think Raul Castro is a conservative and Felipe Calderón is a liberal?

While the Westboro Baptists are religiously conservative, politically they are definitely radical leftists. Their very public singular focus on homosexuality makes people assume they are political conservatives, but they are distinctly not. They also were heavily involved in civil rights protests and have strongly attacked groups they perceive as racist. They frequently attack other religions they view as too politically conservative (especially Mormons and Muslims), though they pretty much attack every other religion at some point.

Besides the prolifers, where are the righty groups protesting for conservative issues, or when they do (Tea Partiers), it's always done with some decorum and not disruption.
Chicago may be the protest capital of the US.

Chicago Public School Teachers decided to strike for the day, yesterday and protest by night. Thousands of teachers marched. This brought out other protest groups, Mc Donalds employees, BLM, Pro Lifers and the anti- Obama crowd.

It was good for restaurant business.

Elsewhere, a year ago there were large protests in DC against SSM.

From a historical perspective, Civil Rights, sufferage and anti war protests were common.
Civil Rights brought out the masses on all sides of the issue and trended violent.

The recent Malheur Wildlife Refuge standoff was chock full of 'decorum'.

When I think of conservatives protesting, the image of white people yelling at and harassing black children when schools were integrated comes to mind. All those awful women with their mouths open spewing hate.

And think of that group that took over the wildlife refuge to demand that they get to use public land for free. Typical conservative hypocrites.

I'm SO looking forward to this year's Pubby convention. I guarantee you, there will be LOTS of conservatives protesting then (and, I'll bet, protesting violently.)

Actually, most conservatives are probably having too much fun at home fondling and drooling over their guns to go out in public to have some peaceful civic discourse.

Sure they can. People can change their minds about political affiliation any time.

The Westboro Baptist Church are conservative Democrats. Fred Phelps, it's founder, was a very staunch right leaning Democrat. Phelps ran for governor of Kansas as a Democrat in 1990, 1994, and 1998. Phelps received 31% of the vote in Kansas's 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate. In 1993 and 1997, Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka. He supported Al Gore in the 1988 primaries.
