What President Obama has been pushing for, and moving toward, is more insidious: government control of the economy, while leaving ownership in private hands. That way, politicians get to call the shots but, when their bright ideas lead to disaster, they can always blame those who own businesses in the private sector.
Politically, it is heads-I-win when things go right, and tails-you-lose when things go wrong. This is far preferable, from Obama's point of view, since it gives him a variety of scapegoats for all his failed policies, without having to use President Bush as a scapegoat all the time.
Government ownership of the means of production means that politicians also own the consequences of their policies, and have to face responsibility when those consequences are disastrous -- something that Barack Obama avoids like the plague.
These labels are thrown around so much they have lost all meaning. One reason Sanders is getting traction is that socialism doesn't mean what it used to. It is not bad thing. In fact, it has been credited for all good things in life, like free education and healthcare. There is no Eastern Europe to point to as the model of socialism's failure.

He's a fraud, a charlatan, a stooge, a toady, a tool, a cardboard cutout rubber stamp actor who's portraying the president. He has no power other than to sit behind a desk, smile and try to sell garbage to the people as best he can which isn't all that good. He's told what to say, what to do, where to go, what to sign and probably how to dress.
He's no evil mastermind or genius bent on world domination. He's a ****** put in office and completely dominated by those who own and control him.
