Chicago has the most murders of any city in the country. 99% comes from the black community - if you looked at the per capita murder rate of the black community in Chicago, it would more closely resemble a hell hole like guatamala or Iraq than a civilized community.

It's basically a rite of passage for black youth to get jumped by the police for no reason. They're seen as being like another gang fighting for control. So people don't help them or call them.
Most police are good, but get jumped by them one time and you'll never think of them as being good again.

It's actually closer to 80%. (80% of the homicides in Chgo are blacks - and 90% male.)
