Oh please, all candidates pander to win votes, How many times do we here about northern republicans coming to the south and trying(keyword) to eat cheese grits ???????
Its pandering no matter if it is food, transportation, or recreation.
I never claimed otherwise.
I just think it is sad, when people actually fall for the act.
Not only fall for it, but as some have done in this very thread "pat her on the back" for it.
Hillary to show how she is a common person, just like us, made a point of riding the subway in front of the media. Except, she needed help using it, because she couldn't figure out how to put her metro card in and make it through the turn style. Not really a big deal, but if this was George W. Bush, would it not be used to show how stupid he is?
In fact, the media put forward a BS story that Bush Senior didn't recognize supermarket technology and used it to portray him as out of touch, but it was in fact fabricated.
This is the women who said 'like wiping her server clean like with a rag' when she never in her life picked up the first can of Pledge and dusted around the house.
I bet George Bush can name his favorite baseball players on the Rangers where Barry Obama couldn't name any of his White Sox players during a game...
Then she should just be truthful about who she is, and not even concern herself about whether or not she can use the subway. But if she was truthful, she probably would not even be allowed to run - so this is the type of stuff we get... a bunch of pandering.
Still not seeing a stunt here. As someone else mentioned, this could be good. As president she may concentrate on funding public transport. Look at the positive or wallow in misery - your choice!
I don't know why politicians try to pull these stunts. Anyone with a brain knows that long-time politicians breathe rarified air. They just make themselves look silly and no one believes them anyway.
I forget who it was, but some politician was trying to impress people in NYC by eating at a pizza joint. Problem was, he used a knife and fork to eat the pizza!
So morons are supposed to feel special that Hillary rode the subway once in her life, and now she is "one of us"?
That was the 4th post in this thread and was my initial reaction, until I saw where someone was all proud of her for it.
As that original post indicated, I thought, this is so obviously contrived to sway morons.
For the record, I feel the same exact way about some buffoon thinking that eating cheese grits should gain them votes.
Not in my wildest dreams did I believe there were people who would actually buy into it.
That's all.
I apologize for being too naive to realize she wouldn't have done it if it wouldn't impress millions of poor like-minded souls.
In retrospect I shouldn't have been surprised at all.

Yes that was what I was thinking, but if you take the time to read through this thread there are several people who not only believe it, but are down right smitten with the display.
You have to expect that they are just a small sample of millions out there who were equally enamored.

Yes, that's why she did it. So she could evaluate the quality of public transport in NY.

John Kasich and he can eat his pizza anyway he wants!
