Not sure why conservatives are so fond of bringing stuff like this up. (As if they give a rip about how gays are treated anywhere)
Tell you what: Maybe once conservatives stop doing everything they can to discriminate against gays right here in the USA, liberals can start concerning themselves a little bit more with gay rights in other countries. Okee dokee?
ETA: Even better, when conservatives stop doing everything they can to discriminate against gays right here in the USA, maybe then they can think about criticizing liberals for not doing enough about gay rights in other countries.

You're trying to defend liberals' BLATANT hypocrisy on this issue and it's not working.

Liberal Logic:

Conservatism as practice by white Americans = PURE EVIL (even though liberals themselves claim morality is relative...)

Extreme Conservatism as practiced by Muslims = oh, it's not so bad, that's just their culture, who are you to judge, etc.

I'm neither conservative nor liberal so I have no dog in this fight...but it cannot be denied that liberals are outrageously hypocritical when it comes to standards of anti-homophobia for white Americans vs. anyone else.

The day I see a liberal preaching anti-homophobia to a muslim with the same virulence and moral self-righteousness they use to preach to white Americans is a day I will be thoroughly impressed.

Nonsense. You're projecting a mindset onto liberals that quite frankly, doesn't represent reality. I have no love or need to defend extreme conservatism in Muslim countries. I will gladly admit that I am more concerned about the rights of Americans than the rights of those in other countries, despite the fact that I despise religious extremism. My priority is the country that I live in, that I'm a citizen in, that I have a say (vote) in. That doesn't make me a hypocrite. And it's laughable that conservatives feign some kind of concern for gay rights in other countries while discriminating against gays here at home. So yeah, I absolutely do claim the moral high ground. Conservatives can pretend to give a crap about gay rights in Qatar to feign outrage on the internet, nobody is buying it.

Sorry, never been to a concert of his. Never even tried to get a ticket. It's already sold out in minutes when the tickets go on sale. Then you have the scalpers selling them for hundreds of dollars. Do you even read what's going on around the world. This is big news overseas.

These self-righteous performers are from the Sixties. That explains a lot. They are older than I am for God's sake.
Springsteen lost most of his fan base long ago when he decided to become a politician.
North Carolina will do just fine without accommodating these leftists.
yawn

Yes, many of us know they're hypocrites. Liberals seem to be too stupid to grasp that.

We will survive UNTIL this horrible legislation gets removed/amended, sure. Make no mistake, this law will get changed, look how quickly McCrory issued his EO.

What a douche nozzle! I wonder why a man who claims he is for the poor people charges $300.00 a ticket for his concerts? What a hypocrite.

Didn't he 'turn political' in 1982 or something. By '84 he was already a fully acknowledged progressive when he told Reagan to nix using Born in the USA at campaign events. Although it was pretty rich that no one on Reagan's team picked up on the actual lyrics to that song.

I think NC will be an interesting political climate in the fall- instead of being a moderate state the picks purple candidates it really has become a liberal versus conservative state. And each side has multiple factions- liberals with progressive, economic, social, equality & education factions and conservatives spread across $, small government, military, social and religious factions. So its not so much everyone meeting in some purple haze as much as the red and blue playing tug of war. The one thing that might turn things is if the $ Republicans think the social Republicans are hurting business. This state is pretty much a Springsteen demographics- slightly liberal and well employed.

So an old washed up rocker and a porn site named after an urban legend have pulled out of NC. How will the PPL of NC ever survive.
