Here are the states the NBA needs to avoid, if they really stand by the position they "claim" to have on this:

33 States DON'T have laws that protect against gender identity discrimination. And 28 of these states have NO laws protecting LGBTs at all.

Alabama
Alaska
Arizona
Arkansas
Florida
Georgia
Idaho
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Massachusetts
Michigan
Mississippi
Missouri
Montana
Nebraska
New Hampshire
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Virginia
West Virginia
Wisconsin
Wyoming

Did You Know It's Legal In Most States To Discriminate Against LGBT People? : It's All Politics : NPR

List updated March 24, 2016. NPR cites the Movement Advancement Project, the ACLU, and the National Conference of State Legislatures as their sources for this info.

And, of course, the Federal Government itself does NOT list sexual orientation or gender identity as a protected class.

So, the NBA would actually have to boycott the entire U.S. if they truly support the position they've taken on this issue.

The NBA does need to avoid just NC, the wing nut law state of the year.

Those w/o protective laws are not all against protecting them. In some cases, discrimination has not likely occurred yet as some are progressive or moderate states.

The difference is NC wrote a law promoting discriminatory treatment.

Now it must be economically punished until it sees the light. The NBA is giving them some time to regain their senses.

IMO it should set a public deadline, and the NCAA should follow suit. If unresolved, Hornets should move. Leave behind years of interest on the debt of an unused arena.

Don't delude yourself. A state university in PA expelled a "self-identified" FTM trans student who was still anatomically female for using the men's facilities. The male students filed complaints in that case. Federal court upheld the expulsion on March 31, 2015:

And lookey here... The NBA Philadelphia 76ers somehow still play in PA...

And what do you know... Bruce Springsteen performed in PA in Jan and Feb of 2016:

HYPOCRITES!!!

Don't delude yourself. Boycotts work, and that upsides the RWNJs.

Ca-ching.

https://conservativenews.online/2016...-transgenders/

Women are being crowded out of restrooms by transgenders

“Not all of us have had surgery yet, honey,” Rodwoman said. “We’re going to be pushing to get legislation mandating urinals in women’s restrooms. It will free up a lot of stalls.”
State Sen. Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, plans to introduce that legislation soon. “Urinals in women’s restrooms is long overdue,” he said.

CFA is not depending on filling arenas 90% of nights , as arenas have giant fixed costs.

Like Az and In, NC will soon bow to the Free Market on this issue, or have an empty arena while paying tens of millions annually in interest and maintenance.
