Where to begin? Both presided major transformations in global affairs. Reagan was instrumental in the desolation of the Soviet Union. Obama lauded and aided the Arab Spring. Whose foreign policy advisors were more effective and aware?

Neither got us out of the Middle East. They are both failures on foreign policy.

Obama is doing good on targeting ISIS. The US helped the Iranians take back Ramadi, and pretty soon Raqqa will be liberated.

Barack is s failure on foreign policy. He dispatched a clueless Hillary to fly around the world feathering her nest with contributions to her foundation for access. The entire world is on fire and he will be jumping ship before it all goes down.

The bigger question might be when was the last time the US Government actually had a good foreign policy? WWII?

Based on the results their policies created, you gotta go with Ronald Reagan. The end of the Cold War was not entirely Reagan, but he played a huge role in it.

As for the Middle East, Ronnie was smart enough to keep the region at arm's length and not put boots on the ground there. Bush Sr, Bill Clinton, W and Obama all got us sucked way way into that quagmire.

What are the results of Obama's foreign policy?

Reagan made mistakes. But together with Gorbachev he ended the cold war. He deserves credit for that. Obama has made mistakes. But at least his mistakes have been on the side of caution rather than recklessness (i.e. Bush II's catastrophic invasion of Irag).

With a few historical facts would be nice.

Reagan's role in the dissolution of the Soviet Union, pure mythology. Gorbachev rose to the pinnacle of the Soviet hierarchy only a year after Reagan was elected president immediately set upon a course of reforms that would lead to the dissolution of the Soviet Union not some fantasy that Reagan by outspending the Soviets bankrupt what had been a bankrupt economy for decades.

And while we are still on the topic of history, perhaps we can turn to Iran Contra and the absolute failure of Reagan to take down the FSLN or Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua. The failure of Reagan's one and only foray in the middle east policy that resulted in the bombing of the Marine barracks and Reagan's near immediate retreat.

Now that would be a good place to begin.

ISIS is stronger because of his intervention in other countries civil wars. Time and time again we dispose leaders and the radicals get stronger. And they use our own weapons against us. Thanks Hillary
