Well it's like forcing her to hire four new employees that do absolutely nothing to add value.
Maybe they should pass a law that the local community MUST purchase at least 3 pizzas a month so that the owner can afford it? You can't just demand an employer incur additional expenses without an offsetting benefit to them.
If the government can force people to purchase health insurance, then all is fair.
This has more to do with a franchise business not bringing in enough revenue to continue to stay open. There will be a new restaurant opening in it's place shortly after it closes. That is what happens in business sometimes.
Nonsense. Their revenue didn't go down, but their costs did go up. He lost his yob because the business now has a huge additional expense. They now have to rewrite their business model and part of that is reducing costs wherever possible.
The same middle class hating, chinese/neo-feudalism adoring conservative corporateers who are against this, are quick to judge people for having cell phones or cars and mortgages they cant afford, but when it comes to a business doing something it can't afford, it has to be someone else's fault. The corporation is always right. We must live and die for the corporation so it can survive. If it means we starve for them so be it.
They simply cannot comprehend that if more people have more money to waste in a non-necessity like pizza, maybe more pizza joints would open.
