Pure libertarian can't work because of human nature... eventually all the politicians get bought out by the big corporations and you end up the same or worse than we are now. Without environmental regulations some corporations and individuals will just do whatever they can get away with. Look at home some individuals embezzle money from charitable organizations to see human nature at work.
It's great in theory, not so great in practice. A moderate amount of laws are required with extensive checks and balances to counterbalance human nature, actually to counterbalance survival of the fittest... animal nature...
Conservatives and libertarians seem to extoll the virtues of corporations and free enterprise, but big corporations and big government are not to be trusted... thus it's up to us to provide checks and balances with our votes, in theory.
I used to be closer to anarchist, but looking at human nature as I have, I've come to side more with globalists.. except for the one issue where they are race/culture mixing and force feeding us refugees.. I don't understand what they are doing there....
The same can be said for republican, democratic, capitalist, and socialist, ideology as well as any other form of political or economic theory. None would be possible to implement / work 100%.
People always say that "in theory" its great and then they talk about it being some sort of lawless world. Clearly thats not the truth since the libertarian model respects the rights of others and the right to not have them infringed upon, so in order to not have your rights infringed upon, certain laws are obviously 100% necessary and required.

I think people have a RIGHt to use unspoiled nature as they see fit; problem solved
Philosophically I'm Libertarian but it's useless gesture at the moment...of course voting in my state is a useless gesture for me outside of local elections.
I don't really accept the libertarian philosophy. I do believe in a moderate to small government, but government does have its place in most aspects of life. Safety regulations, environmental regulations, welfare, defense, infrastructure, judicial systems, education, etc. I don't want an authoritarian government, socialism, or high taxes, but government regulations do provide a higher quality of life for the vast majority of people. I believe in a mixed system, no political, governmental, or economic systems are perfect. I actually don't think the US is too bad in most ways. It's stable and provides a high quality of life for the majority of it's citizens. I do wish government and society would live with less debt, in fact, that is somewhere more government regulations could help.

How do you go from "closer to anarchist" to siding more with globalists?
A friend of mine once told me that I was a "contrarian/libertarian". I'm not sure what that means but I like the sound of it. Especially the "contrarian" part.
