I have never understood why so many poor whites try to identify w/ upper income and rich whites. For the most part, rich whites do not care about poor white people.
Have you ever wondered what rich whites really think of you? Martin Shkreli (Former Retrophin and Turing Pharmaceutical CEO) has no problem disclosing to the world what he thinks of poor "hick" whites. Listen to the link below, During the argument, he states, "I own you." It doesn't get more blatant than this, but essentially it's true. It is amazing however that poor whites continue to align with people like trump. Trump probably thinks even less of poor whites.
Think of the alternative. They would have to support the party of colored people, gays, lesbians, atheists, socialists, immigrants, etc. These folks are simply too racist to belong to the democratic party.
The way they defend the elite is very sad.
In this forum I have heard folks say that the Mortgage Real Estate debacle in 2008 was due to the naive viewpoint of the house buyers rather than the greed of banks.
Many claim that the college debt crisis is the fault of the students and not the banks and greedy college presidents.
They gladly support the concept of private health insurance where CEOs make 40 million a year by efficiently denying health care to those that need it or by refusing to insure those with prior illness. The industry makes billions a year over the back of blue collar workers that can barely afford the premiums.
They are against free or low tuition public colleges even though they cannot afford to send their kids to college.

What health insurance CEO's made $40 million a year?
The non-PC and therefore, correct answer is that white people have a cultural bond just as Asians and blacks do. If you say, "I don't share a bond with others of my race," you're in denial...no matter if you wish to or not.

My wife is white. What cultural bond do you share with her?

what's her ethnicity (other than just "white")...that will open up her cultural background and the other "white" people who have a similar ethnicity can enlighten you.
True, he is a weirdo, but I love his blatant honesty. It provides a glimpse into what rich people really think of the poor and working class.

It provides a view into what this particular rich man thinks of the poor and working class. It doesn't give much information about what most wealthy people think of poor and working people.

Trump thinks even lower of poor whites I can only imagine what he says behind closed doors.

Here is another defender of the elite. A wanna be millionaire!
Thank you for the correction! Quite often is MUCH more.

Stephen Hemsley, the CEO of UnitedHealth Group, took home more than $66 million
What is your point? Had it been 20 or 30 million it would be OK!
Do you realize ALL these folks do is collect money from patients, pay medical bills, and keep the rest as profit? The job can be done for a service fee.
