Is this woman really that stupid? She really thinks that she is as much of a scientist as Bill Nye.
While Bill Nye is not a scientist he has an Ivy League degree in engineering, worked at Boeing designing aircraft. Palin barely graduated from small, undistinguished colleges with a BA in communications. When it comes to science Bill Nye easily runs circles around Palin.
What's really going on here is Palin isn't capable of framing an intelligent argument against climate change so she has to lower herself and use an ad hominem attack against Nye.
If an engineer can play scientist, then why can't the rest of his?
An engineer is an applied scientist -- engineers are trained in the sciences and they apply scientific principles to build machines or buildings for practical use. He's a lot closer to being a scientist than a communications major.

But don't let some poster here on C-D here you say that.
Since Nye isn't a climate scientist, he is not qualified to make valid, cogent remarks concerning the topic, according to sanspeur, Goodnight, Ceist, et. al., Anything Bill Nye says concerning climate science - according to their own standards - is total bilge, as he's not a climate scientist.
They have made this argument time and again - when other posters have brought up other engineers, physicists, chemists, or a whole range of others in the science disciplines (including posters in here with valid scientific backgrounds much greater than their own) whose views are other than the accepted norm (the so-called oxymoronic "scientific consensus"), or question the validity of said claims, then sanspeur, Goodnight, Ceist (& other zealots of AGWism) will claim these scientists have to be ignored, as they have backgrounds other than climate science.
I could find literally dozens of posts where the above posters have shot down any opinions of other scientists brought up by skeptics, simply for a lack of "climate science" degrees. So why should Bill Nye be any different?

Calling Bill Nye a "scientist" is the equivalent of calling Al Roker a "scientist".
Bill Nye is an idiot who freezes balloons for grade school children. He is no scientist.
Right. That's why he's a mechanical engineer, and a top official at the Planetary Societies. Because he's no scientist.
Meanwhile, what are your science credentials?
