From CNN - Joe Walsh pulled out of an upcoming concert date citing ties to the GOP - "It was my understanding that I was playing a concert which was a nonpartisan event to benefit the families of American veterans on Monday, July 18 in Cleveland," Walsh said in a statement he released Wednesday. "Today it was announced that this event is, in fact, a launch for the Republican National Convention."

I'm comfortable with that. If you are an entertainer you don't want to alienate your fan base..but then he did just that. "I am very concerned about the rampant vitriol, fear-mongering and bullying coming from the current Republican campaigns," Walsh said. "It is both isolationist and spiteful. I cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican party in any way." Joe Walsh cancels concert with GOP ties - CNN.com

You know what? Eff you then Joe. You did just alienate your fan base. Who do you think buys your stuff...the millennials? According to Rolling Stone they don't even know you're alive - Steve Miller Band, 'Fly Like an Eagle' (1976) - 40 Albums Baby Boomers Loved That Millennials Don't Know | Rolling Stone

Good luck with your career you pc dope.

I disagree. Sounds like Joe got sucked into something he disagrees with.

I'm a Conservative and a Joe Walsh fan who'll be seeing him on his new tour in Dallas. I can live with his decision.

Republicans should just stick with country music and Ted Nugent.

Joe Walsh's stuff is a little more edgy than the Eagles but certainly both are very close to that country category if not directly in it depending on the song.

I always liked Joe Walsh, and now I like him even more. And I couldn't agree with him more regarding his assessment of the current iteration of the GOP as led by Trump and Cruz. He's spot on.

He's alienated Trump and Cruz supporters. No great loss there. There are a number of Republicans right here on C-D who agree with him on that.
