Paying for health insurance is not a luxury. Paying for a healthy diet is not a luxury. In many places owning and knowing how to use a gun is not a luxury.

Do you have the latest iPhone with a high cost data plan?

If someone who is too poor to save $400 in an emergency fund is carrying a cell phone, it should be a flip-phone that makes calls and can send and receive texts.

I know TOO many people who complain about how poor they are and they male up the pool of folks with no savings, but they also have iPhones, Huge flat screen 4HD TVs, $300/month cable packages and car payments on their 2015 off the showroom cars.

Kids working just a low wage summer gig and people that refuse to work or lose benefits are included in all likliness. Averages drop precipitously when you start putting in a yearly "incomes" of $1500/yr.
