The real reason the GOP does not support Trump (although they have to now, as he is going to be their nominee ) is because he goes off the reservation from time to time and tells the truth.

This interview on Iraq is the perfect example. It especially explains why Jeb went after Trump so strongly. To the neocons, he is far more their enemy than Hillary Clinton ever will be.

Bingo.

It's like when the GOP criticizes his statements on abortion or illegal immigration when that's what they believe regarding those issues.

The GOP's problem is that he's not using their list of acceptable words for issues like abortion or illegal immigration

That would certainly explain why the democrats seem to hate him.

And it's why more than a few GOP'ers will vote for Hillary. But truth is Trump is no non interventionist and the empire would continue to thrive if he is elected.

You're right, because that is what power does to people. Look at Dick Cheney, we all know what he said in 1994, about why we didn't go into Baghdad and remove Saddam when he was Sec. of Defense under Bush Sr.

But once he had the idiot son under his thumb, he threw caution to the wind and created the quagmire he warned of less than 10 years earlier.

The GOP want's people like Rush and Trump and their ideals on the team but not in the game. Don't put people on your team if you don't want them in the game. Trump is only a place holder for Rush Limbaugh. If you liked Rush you will love Trump.

But why does it matter that he occasionally tells the truth if 75% of the time he is not telling the truth? If the GOP is in favor of lying, they should be supporting him. Spin it as hyperbole all you like but flat-out lies are lies, and he is the Deceptive Don.

It's far more sinister than his foreign policy stance. One of the debates when he said he would try to remain neutral in the Israel/Palestine conflict, and the backlash from the opposition, is the true reason both parties fear him. He's not bought and paid for by the Israeli lobby and that is the sole reason they despise him.

Our politicians are owned by AIPAC.

Donald had no problem speaking in front of the AIPAC convention and asking for their support.

I think you might be using "AIPAC" as code word for "the Jews."

In any case we shouldn't be neutral when it comes to Israel and the terrorist organizations like HAMAS and Hezbollah. Israel is our ally.

No, the Israeli government, which deserves criticism, is not "The Jews." No more than when I criticize the American government is it "The Americans."

Israel is a pretty ****ty ally. Dragging us into every god forsaken middle eastern conflict for their own Zionist benefit. Yes, we should be neutral. It's none of our business. Our not remaining neutral has lead to the deaths of millions of middle eastern people, thousands of cauffins draped in American flags, the loss of trillions of dollars, and the loss of credibility around the world. Not to mention the destruction of civil liberties here at home.

Yes, more involvement is just what we need.

Israels current regime is a cancer to the Middle East.

PS - They knowingly bombed the USS Liberty killing dozens of Americans. All to drag us into yet another war.
