Young people are seeing how much money is being wasted waging wars for the weapons racket that could be spent domestically, they are also seeing that it's every man for themselves unless you're in the club that's too big to fail.
Couple that with poor people getting mad that other poor people want things (of small relative cost) and here we are.
Maybe morphing isn't such a bad thing. I don't think the Bernie and Trump phenomenon safe about the people rather about rejection of the above.
