It's the right-wingers who keep saying 'why should we cut our emissions when China doesn't have to cut theirs?' This is the biggest tactic they use for stalling all attempts at taking action.

Most of the 'liberals' want China to cut their emissions, but can also see that whether or not they cut emissions shouldn't have an impact on whether or not we do.

That's why they say 'think globally, act locally', NOT 'I ain't gonna do nuthin' if China don't have to do nuthin''.

Where I live it was mild this past winter. Didn't burn as much wood as I normally do.

Bring on global warming.

I guess they didn't notice that China has been cutting their emissions.

Will you be saying that when parts of the world become uninhabitable and that causes mass migration of refugees moving into you now mild winter place? I am guessing the answer is no, but you seem to be unaware of what the true effects of global warming will be....

Sure, sure, it is easy for you to be a big man talking a big game how you will somehow shoot and kill anyone who tries to migrate to your land, but the reality is you would be overwhelmed with the mass migration and would be on the losing end of that gun.

I know this is the only way to reach the person you're responding to, but does anyone else find it sad and disturbing that we now know to automatically skip over the whole loss of human life thing as a selling point for policy because we know so many people on this board do not give a **** about that?

In honor of the upcoming 10th anniversary, The Daily Caller News Foundation re-watched “An Inconvenient Truth” just to see how well Gore’s warnings of future climate disaster lined up with reality.

Gore’s been harping on global warming since at least the late 1980s, but it wasn’t until 2006 he discovered a way to become massively wealthy off making movies about it and investing in government-subsidized green energy.

Gore opens the film talking about nature, then jumping to a presentation he’s giving where he shows the first image ever taken of the Earth from space. From that image, he jumps right into making alarmist claims about global warming.

One of the first glaring claims Gore makes is about Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. He claims Africa’s tallest peak will be snow-free “within the decade.” Gore shows slides of Kilimanjaro’s peak in the 1970s versus today to conclude the snow is disappearing.

Well, it’s been a decade and, yes, there’s still snow on Kilimanjaro year-round. It doesn’t take a scientist to figure this out. One can just look at recent photos posted on the travel website TripAdvisor.com.

Yes, and Rush Limbaugh pointed that out when his countdown clock ran out of time. Of course, we all know that Armageddon, as Al Gore saw it, did not happen.

You skip over the 'whole lose of human life' thing because denying cheap reliable energy to the third world is killing real live humans today.
