most of the people here have the right answer. They couldn't care less about dead people in war. That's just statistics to them.

What's really sad is the patriots so willing to be dooped into being cannon fodder for their little games.

I don't think any politician "decide[s] to start a war."

Typical liberal!

The lie of "protecting our freedoms" is a strong one.

Our politicians don't care, the defense contractors don't care and the governments our troops die for don't care.

If I was a politician, I would put my own son or daughter in front-line.

When my brother was serving in the Marine Corps, his CO had more combat experiences than any of his Marines. You lead by example. That is how you earn respect. I volunteer at a VA hospital, I see the differences between combat Marines, soldiers and pog officers. lol (Not saying all pog officers are bad, but some of them are very annoying)

I hate unfair people being in charge.

I doubt it anymore. I know Bush did, however.

Please answer the following questions:

1) Did George Washington and the congress of 1776 care about the soldiers they sent to war against the British?
2) Did Abraham Lincoln care about the million casualties and the devastation of the civil war?
3) Was Winston Churchill a greedy politician who sent his troops to death in Europe and the north African desert?
4) Were Washington and Lincoln greedy politicians?

Well, we know the war drew Lincoln to a suicidal level of grief. At one point they actually removed sharp objects from the White House.

George W. Bush, the man who simply would not serve his nation when his nation needed him, started a war, it was in Iraq. Ever hear of it? He started it -- a war based on lies. And that evil drug-addled cretin was a right wing evangelical, as I recall.

Typical right winger!
