Suburbs are one of America's best examples of economic segregation. Most will accept a minority family if that family can pay the cost of living there. Many suburbs are now being occupied by slightly wealthier urban minorities that can afford to move out of the city. The original occupants of these places are moving to Florida, nursing homes or the grave.
Yep, a black family moved into my parents all white neighborhood. Both husband and wife work full time, they are quiet and keep their house and yard nicely cared for, nice people, they still live there. I lived in an area where retiree's lived. They said they downsized. They took care of their homes and yards, they were neighborly, nice people. They eventually passed away and trash, moved in. The neighborhood began looking like a war zone, then there were the drunks and up all night parties. I moved out.
Assuming that your zip code location is correct, you live in an area of snow white Connecticut that is roughly 97% white according to the latest census... people like you love to point fingers at others and explain how racist they are. I don't see people like you working hard to get more minorities to move to your community.
Give me a break, you live in one of the whitest areas in the country which just happens to be filled with many of the most racist people in the US.
Disgusting. Rather than improve the living conditions of ALL people in the section 8 program they are wasting money helping the chosen few live in high style.
I need threads like this just to remind myself that there are still racist idiots out there who think they know how everyone else lives. I love to listen to losers who need anything they can to feel superior to someone.
You don't think telling poor Blacks that the only way they can succeed is to be diluted into White communities and White schools, is a little racist itself?
My husband and I worked our way into the burbs. We're good neighbors. We're black. We do not want Section 8 losers destroying our community. Obama is anti-white people. He will destroy everything you've created. He's still got months to do it.
