But not for the reason you suspect. Chinese companies that are owned by the state have started to take advantage of sovereign immunity. IE You can't sue us over our obviously defective product because we have sovereign immunity!"

Some stocks are refusing to be audited claiming that China law prevented it.

We need to ban products that are not covered under some reasonable amount of law.

Um, it sounds like flimsy US laws, not flimsy Chinese products.

Better think about these things a bit harder before you post.

Yes, it is the law that needs to be changed.

Just another example of the idiocy of the American government! Why are we even trading partners with a Communist nation? One who is trying to poison us with every product they sent here from toothpaste(lead),to toxic toys for our kids(lead), to toxic pet food and toys to kill our pets! Why are the American people allowing this crap to continue?

Call your lawmakers and Demand that they fine the hell out of China, to pay for testing of all their junk before allowing it on our store shelves!

you dont need to fine china, or ban imports from them, or add tariffs, or what ever else some suggest. all you need to do is make the inspection process for products coming more difficult. for instance in japan, if they get a load a lettuce they dont want to let in the country, they take so long in getting around to inspecting the load, that the lettuce wilts and is unusable. we can do the same with any perishable item, and many other items that are not perishable. and by the time the inspection process is done, the price point is too high for them to make a profit.

I saw where the US government is allowing companies that "assemble" goods using foreign products/material can put a label on the product/packaging saying "Made in America". What you don't know is the country of origin (not required by law) of the goods that were used to assemble the product in the US.

In January 2016 Chuck Schumer opened the door on the government purchasing website that lists companies that claim that their products are "Made In America". He used one company as an example, but recently I saw that companies are being identified for falsely labeling their goods as being Made in America and will be removed. This is the website that government is required to use for certain purchases.

Don't forget America exports a huge amount of beef, chicken, corn, and wheat to China. These things are more vulnerable to "delays" and "inspections".

Also don't forget all your iPhones and android phones are from China, before you complain all Chinese products have low quality.
