Furthermore, a congressman's job is not just to write bills. They also vote for bills. Sanders has an impressive voting record for bills that help Americans, and against bills the hurt Americans.

The duties of a congressmen are apparently not taught in schools.
congressman. They do teach grammar.

Oh crap, I made a mistake, my whole argument is now invalid because that's how logic works.

Too, bad. My 4th grader and her friends have found a way to respectfully engage each other about this election...all on their own. Not in class, but on the playground. She has no idea who I would vote for and I have not interfered because I do not want to sway her opinion. I'm proud of her well-constructed arguments for and against issues. Sorry school!

If some snot nose liberal who complains on Facebook about the grueling schedule of being a teacher wants to impose her socialist views on my kids - just don't get upset when my kid leads his class in the chant, 'what do we want? The wall! Who's gonna pay for it? Mexico! Who?? Mexico!!!!'

That's the unfortunate reality of today's politics. Also, its hardly possible to discuss politics these days without discussing religion, which doesn't belong in school at all.

They are not allowed if it is the Constitutional side of politics and you will be failed & expelled if there is a hint, you lean Conservative.
In 1976, the Junior High I attended was pushing Carter hard... Nothing has changed.

This wasn't public school...but my accounting instructor in business college (during the Carter administration) absolutely loathed Jimmy Carter and the Democrats. Had a diatribe about Jimmy or Ted Kennedy at least twice a week. No different than what I heard at home from my dad, actually. This was Accounting I, mind you, not Political Science. I can hear him now..sitting at his desk, picking up the newspaper...."That peanut picking...." "That peanut farmer..." Always mentioned the peanuts. My shorthand teacher (who was also head of the school) was the same. Ditto the Business Correspondence teacher. They are long gone, but I often wonder what they would have thought of Obama?

As far as instructing kids in politics...what's wrong with parents? In my case, my (then) 15 year old taught ME a few things. She discovered Fox News and was always quoting Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity (and later Rush and Michael Savage). My youngest daughter at 17 accompanied me and my group to protest Obamacare and picket our rep's office.

There is NOTHING wrong with discussing Politics in school as long as it is NOT BIASED, like you are.

Purely your OPINION.

Many think otherwise.

" Also, its hardly possible to discuss politics these days without discussing religion,"

What a bunch of B.S.!

And why shouldn't religion be discussed?

What are you so afraid of?

Are you so insecure in your beliefs that you can't discuss the subject?
