As a closeted gay person, this pretty much means I am going to have to see my Facebook news feed and everybody in my ultra-conservative town freak out about how the "gay agenda" is destroying America and God will soon wipe our nation off the face of the planet. They can't distinguish gay people and trans people so they lump is all into the same category. I'm sick of it.
I support transgender equality, but this is too much too soon, and the backlash in the Bible Belt is almost unbearable to deal with. And I am not even trans, but a closeted gay guy.
It's NOT just the bible belt. Blue state IL parents are suing the Obama Admin over this because their MINOR daughters have already been unwillingly exposed to a MTF trans student's penis in the school's girls' multiple occupancy restroom/locker/shower room.

I think it's time to separate the T from LGBT. I don't want to take the blame or be held accountable or end up hanging from a tree if there is a civil war over this. Judging from the built up anger among conservatives in my area, that could very well end up happening.

I don't know why you think it's excellent. Is that sarcasm or actual happiness? You know where I stand on the matter. Petunia softball I could care less about. If boys want to play softball, I'm sure it's allowed. Girls play Little League baseball, and I'm okay with that too. But when we are talking about men running track against girls in the Olympics, that's just not fair. I don't care if the man has lower levels of testosterone, he's still going to naturally have an advantage over the women.

Bingo, remember he did have an agenda! he is putting his words to good use. Yup he has changed things in front of our very eyes.
