I presume that this decision will not affect the use of drugs for euthanasia in states that have legalized the practice?
That's what I was going to post. I just read an article about a Dutch woman in her 20s was euthanized because of depression from a germ phobia. They've euthanized minors. And yet I bet Phizer provides them drugs.
Seems they were all in for "euthanizing" over 5000 people last year in the Netherlands. And if you think these were all terminally ill folks, think again. As was expected, they're now increasingly putting down those with the most mundane mental illnesses such as obsessive compulsive disorders, rather than treating them.
But I guess they thought we didn't know about that. We're not supposed to talk about that.
Give me an example. Can car makers say you cannot drive above 70 and they can legally enforce that?
If you sign a contract that says you cannot drive the car above 70 why would think they cannot legally enforce it?
There isn't going to be lot of examples of this because most companies are going to have difficulty selling a product with severe restrictions and if they do want to restrict it they do it through design.

The problem is that most of us (I think) would prefer to go out painlessly in our sleep - if we had a choice. I have heard of several convicts that would prefer to die instead of spending years in prison. Right now many terminally ill patients in the US (without brain waves) die from starvation - the Dr. or family request the removal of the feeding tubes. We treat our pets and criminals better than we treat ourselves.
While not crazy about the young having access to these drugs; I do think that all of us should have the opportunity to end our life peacefully if we so desire.
As far as proven, beyond the showdown of a doubt, brutal murderers: Don't we have some confiscated ISIS vest that we want to dispose of?
Can a manufacturer prohibit what is done with it's products once sold? Can Ford tell me that if I buy a Mustang that I cannot speed above the posted limit? Or Chevy once I buy a Camaro?
Looks like the firing squad is due for a comeback. None of the arms manufacturers nor ammo makers will object to their products being properly and justifiably used to end the life of a criminal who has been condemned for his heinous crimes.
Dead patients do not buy more drugs. I'm sure it's that simple.

Because they don't have the authority too. You think just because someone said, they can?

A lot? I can't think of one. There's probably some obscure example out there.
Big pharma is getting all moral over this issue. 28 people were legally executed in the United States in 2015. Yet according to The Daily Mail - "last year 5,516 Dutch people — including children — were legally killed by lethal injection administered by doctors trained to do the task with rapid efficiency." Dutch euthanasia extends to woman being killed by doctors for cleaning obsession | Daily Mail Online
Children too, how about them apples.
So what do you think folks, should big pharma cut off the Dutch?
I might be repeating myself but - was George Orwell spot on? There is a big deal going on in Canada regarding cleaning up the aging population...in other words trimming the dead human wood of society. It used to be if you were killing yourself or getting someone to help facilitate your death it was called suicide.
It was called ASSISTED suicide...now they are getting more proficient with the ridding of useless burdensome and high maintenance human beings. It is now "assisted death" a nice way of terming self murder. Much like genocide slowly gained respectability by being renamed ...ethnic cleansing....as if some cleaning up of something dirty is necessary.
The whole idea of making human de-cluttering a respectable way of dealing with what society finds burdensome is most certainly the proverbial slippery slope...I have always despised the Netherlands for their policies on dope....and euthanasia - They have cheapened human life.
A prime example of Dutch social efficiency is when a young woman was applying for welfare.. The social worker said to her...to para phrase....You are young and employable. There is always the opportunity to enter into the sex trade...ABSURD - they were suggesting to her that selling her body was fine and a relevant way to earn a living....How do you like those progressive apples...
By the way - the other bit of Orwellian double speak I can not stand is the term "sex worker" - what ever happened to the term prostitute or common commercial *****? I could go on and on about lying double speak...the last term that bothers me is "sexual assault" - what ever happened to the reality contained in the harsh word RAPE?
Maybe it's time for America to join the second world and ban the death penalty
