Republicans take eight of the spots on the list of 10 most popular governors. Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker is America's most popular governor, and he is followed very closely by fellow Republican Larry Hogan of Maryland. Delaware's Jack Markell is the country's most popular Democratic governor.

Math certainly isn't a liberal strong suit. When Republicans control the majority of states of course they're also going to have the highest number of least popular governors. That's like bragging about there being fewer complaints about your Fiat 500 than there are about Ford F150s and skip the fact that there are 30x as many F150s sold.

So did you not read the article, or where you just being intellectually dishonest (another liberal trait) and ignoring that 9 of the top 10 MOST popular governors are Republican, the other 1 is an independent.

Maryland has been controlled by the dems for ages yet, Hogan, a repub, is the 2nd most popular.

Beat me to it LauraC!

Chances that these unpopular Republican governors will be replaced by Democrats is exactly 0%.

19/52 = 37%

8/10 = 80%

If the ratio of "least popular" governors were equal to the ratio of Democrat/Republican governors, there would be only 6 republican governors out of the 10 most unpopular.

Math is not conservative strong points, is it? Perhaps if conservatives were better with math, we would not have gone from a surplus to a huge dept during the presidency of the last republican.

The point is, however, we are not seeing a lot of love for conservative methods of governing.

Bill Clinton was dragged kicking and screaming to the alter of fiscal responsibility by Newt Gingrich.

That`s why the government was shut down in 1995-96.

NAFTA and the 2000 China Trade Act belong to Clinton.

What makes you think their low approval ratings are due to conservative policies?

"Tea party conservatives criticize the first-term governor for vetoing a voter identification bill, proposing higher fees and taxes to fix Michigan roads, and supporting an Obama administration bailout of the auto industry early in the term. They’re also not pleased with the governor’s support of an expansion of Medicaid tied to the issue they hate most — the Affordable Care Act, more commonly called Obamacare."

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder: RINO or radical?

Considering the vast majority of states have Republican governors, I'd say being elected is a good measure of popularity.

Yes, they do. Only 1 Dem governor made the top 10. Why is that?
