A goal is nice, but do not forget what REALLY shaped the country and changed the country.
Let us be honest, the US is great today because it has been a western country. Nowadays some diversity is good and the west no longer dominates the world as much as before, but any change should not be regressive.

America is everybody's business, as long as you live here.
So this is a concern for you because you are "scared" of Muslims or something? Do you think they will make you Muslim or something stupid like that? So should I be concerned about your business because it is everyone's business? What if I don't approve of what you are wearing, should I encourage you to wear something else or expose yourself instead?

I am not scared at all, but I do not want to live with a bunch of women who cover their face. I don't want my children to go to a classroom where most girls cover their face.

As I said, Muslim population in this country is bound to rise fast. Be prepared.
Do you know the most popular name for French babies now is Mohammad?

America has its social norms, and new comers should try their best to blend in. Do not bring everything here.

Why does it matter if other women cover their faces or not? Next you will be wanting to ban hats or something stupid like that. Last time I checked, this country was a place where women were free to cover their faces if they want to.

As for your fictional children, you simply tell them that there are lots of different religions and each religion does things differently.

Who cares if the Muslim population rises fast in this country, Christians will still outnumber them for a very long time in the US. Heck, Atheists and Agnostics are rising numbers too which apparently is also a threat to Christians....go figure.

Mohammad is the most popular baby name in France? Well that is just false, it is Armand.

What should newcomers blend in to? There are thousands upon thousands of different cultures in this country, and the beauty of this country is we are all free to practice our own culture that best suits us. Not everyone needs to buy a house in the suburbs, have three cars, eat fast food, drink buckets of soda, and watch Nascar while praying to Jesus that their football team wins the Super Bowl this year.

OK I made a mistake-- it is not France but UK. But it still supports my claim.
Yes, Muhammad is the No1 baby name in this country. So what? | Coffee House

I'm an atheist. I have no problem with any faith, but I do not want to live with many women who cover their face. Period. We have no common ground at all.
You just repeat the same thing again and again, without understanding my points.

By 2050, there will be more Muslims than Jews in this country. If Muslims cannot be as liberal as Jews, it will not look nice. Let's see.

OH that is your interpretation of "blend in"? That's what your life is about?

Well stated debate points, Yueng-Ling. You have made your point by taking logic and staying on topic. The posters who call names and reveal there political prejudice sound irrational.

I wonder if this hero would rip a yalmurka off a male professional athlete? I kind of doubt it.

Because they don't want to say no? It's not for me (nor, for that matter, is covering my elbows, knees and, eventually when I'm married hair, that is traditional of stricter interpretations of Judaism), but who am I to judge? I know Muslim and Jewish women alike who choose to cover their hair. I also know Muslim and Jewish women who do not. Choice - it's a beautiful thing.
Why cover their hair? Where does the idea for this come from?

It's shocking that you don't have a problem with such an outward symbol of male oppression.

Good for him.

Islam doesn't belong in America or in any civilized country.
