so... everyone? politics has been viewed as a battle since forever. one can also argue that the right rhetoric is filled with way more of this.

side note: it would be nice if people could understand exactly what PC is and is supposed to do....

Say it aint so Joe~ Joe Biden: Clinton 'Naive' For Calling GOP Enemy
Quote:
Vice President Joe Biden rebuked former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Tuesday as “naïve” for calling Republicans her chief enemy.
Even creepy Joe called her on this. Rodham is a devider. Is that what we want, more division?

Interesting he said this since the only thing that made the news here (local TV and the Washington Post) was his telling the students to not vote for Trump.

If you're painting Condi with the same shade of pink, I guess you're painting Bush, Cheney, Powell, and Rumsfeld all the same color.

Default Let her speak

He should. The only real curative for bad ideas & speakers is to let them speak & publish - short of inciting to riot & so on. The Far Right & conspirators make a real production of how they're speaking the truth to power, & that the mass media are suppressing their ideas, inventions, cures, truth & so on.

So - the best Rx is to let them speak. Even if CNN or MSNBC won't cover the speakers, there's always talk radio & Fox & lots of other outlets in the US. & R. Murdoch is all over the World - so there's bound to be somebody on the Right-leaning media who's willing to pick up a story & run with it. People (voters) should be able to judge for themselves the content of any speaker.

Myself, I don't think Palin is going to come up with any new ideas or thoughts - but if someone wants to hear her, I think they should be able to. & certainly her books & articles are out there - I don't know about her TV outlets - those may have died by now. The Internet is another source, I know that clips of her speeches & appearances have shown up there.

Palin is nowhere near the same level of illustrious erudition as Rice.

The Nazi SS either assaulted their victims or killed them outright, vandalized or destroyed business, churches, synagogues, & so on. Once the Nazis took over German government, the SS became a state agency. political correctness is from Left humor, a comment on the ponderous jargon-laden justifications for action from the Communist & Socialist parties. Putting them together doesn't make any sense, as PC isn't something that the Nazis would have even recognized.

I don't think of the Nazis as Leftists - they were some kind of Nationalist cult of personality, worshipping Hitler's confusing political/racial thought. One of the main reasons they lost WWII.
Bolded and underlined everything that the leftist mobs have already done in furtherance of their goal to silence the opposition. Haven't you been paying attention to the Trump-hating mobs lately? And I don't even like Trump. Could have added "killed them outright" but we may have to wait until somebody follows through on massacring the whole family or bombing or burning down places like Memories Pizza. The tendency for the leftists to try to shout down or otherwise silence others is very very reminiscent of the Nazi brownshirts actually.

And being politically left or right is irrelevant. The parallel is quite accurate where it counts: One ideology is hell bent on silencing all opposing voices by any means necessary. And in the culture Nazi Germany, there really was a version of political correctness. It was whatever Hitler and the Nazi said it was. Anyone disagreeing was shunned, shamed, attacked, brutalized and silenced. Sounds about right.

No, I've given up on watching the TV network national or 24/7 news - it takes too long to sort through.

No, if you're accusing the Liberals of being One ideology, it's flattering, I'm sure - but not true. In Nazi Germany there wasn't political correctness, for the reasons I mentioned. There was simply a long freefall of political rights & protections into the abyss. & then a plunging of the Western World into war & chaos.
