If you've even done any reading, oriental rugs is fine. It's when it is used to refer to people that is outdated, archaic, and old fashioned.

Well, it obviously really makes people irritated (just read the thread)....so maybe we should make it law across the United States, that way, they cannot advertise over here.

You should be happy though, look what your tax's paid for.....

Except there are currently companies that use the word ORIENTAL in their business name...

This thread just shows how people can be so darn mad, when those who are from the orient just don't give a damn....way to go lefties.....

Just like the redskin debacle....9 out of 10 are NOT mad......

The problem with Asian is that Koreans and Burmese are not similar at all. Neither are Japanese and Khmer. Asian doesn't really work for about half of Asian people. Also, what about Indian people? They certainly aren't the same racial group as the Vietnamese.

Obama is a moron but this isn't something to get upset over.
It's just sad that this is the stuff he's worried about. Not the fact that the government is probably going bankrupt or the loss of respect of the US around the world.

Having Obama as president is like taking a high school student body president and putting him in the oval office. That is truly what he reminds me of. He simply ignores issues that are too complex for him. This is what he focuses on.

I read the article and legislation and exercised basic comprehension skills. I encourage you to do the same.
