Really? So was the James Meredith case an example of southern class? Or how about the Birmingham church bombing? Orville Faubus and the Little Rock Nine? Edmund Pettus Bridge? Scottsboro Boys execution? Chaney, Goodman, and Schwerner? Virginia closing all Southside schools to prevent integrating them? Governor Wallace standing at the door of the University? Separate water fountains and bathrooms? Can't get a meal at a lunch counter? Can't try on clothes in a store if whites shop there too? Can't use the same swimming pool? Make the blacks pick up their lunch order at the back door? Put them black folks up in the balcony at the theater? Can't let those people vote? Let's kill that 14 year old black boy for whistling at a white woman, then we'll kill Medgar Evers and MLK?

Are these examples of "southern class" that's ALWAYS existed...as you say?

Your post is hateful and racist and has nothing to do with this thread. When I graduated from high school I had never met a black person so no none of that has anything to do with me. My husband graduated from the same school.

The crooked cross was once a Christian symbol. Look it up.

The longest and worst depression we've had. Whatever you do don't address this fact. Continue to deflect and deny. Truth is treason to some. Case closed.

Here is FDR in 1944, talking about his vision of a second bill of rights:

the right to health care, a good education, a decent home, a job with a living wage and security from old age, accident, sickness and unemployment. As FDR said: These rights spell security, and unless there is security at home, there cannot be lasting peace in the world.
None of those are rights. Learn what a right is then post.

Worst economic times. Happy now?

FDRs depression didn't end until we got involved in war production. Learn your history before spouting nonsense.

The longest and worst depression which was prolonged by FDR meddling in the economy.

Your statement as well as your entire post, at least in the way you argued it, is completely untrue. But then again using facts isn't your strong suit.

Because the Democrats went from putting people to work to focusing on everything BUT the economy. White privilege, trannies in bathrooms, etc.

If you think modern Americans are stoofid, consider that the generation of 1930s didn't think it was a problem for government to TAKE from one to GIVE to another.
As if all that was needed was to wheedle "Pretty please with sugar on top!"
Nope.
That's how we got the "benevolent" totalitarian police state, folks.
How else are you going to enforce such an abomination?

The once free Americans now must get permission (license) and / or pay a tax to live, work, buy, sell, travel, build a house, enter occupations, operate a business, transmit, fly a plane, hunt, fish, drive, trade in medical care, buy medicine, cut hair, marry and / or own a dog. And even after they die, the tax man gets a cut.

If that's "freedom," we need a new dictionary.
