There were many that were gave bad advice also........I'm NOT excusing people for not doing their homework BUT there are certain expectations one should have. One is to get good advice from the experts.

No, it isn't. The Clinton Admin HUD told F&F that 50% or more of the mortgages they bought and subsequently bundled into MBS and sold as investments had to be made to low-income and/or credit-compromised borrowers.
F&F are the largest source of mortgage financing in the US.

Essentially, Uninformed's entire premise is that the poor, weak financial sector got strong armed into this whole mess and was just an innocent bystander. It's laughable. There is no debating that everyone was in on it.

What bad advice? How is making the loans F&F contracted with them to buy (remember Fannie Mae said Countrywide and its other "best lenders" participated in the GSEs' Affordable Lending programs) "giving bad advice?"
