No, it isn't. The Clinton Admin HUD told F&F that 50% or more of the mortgages they bought and subsequently bundled into MBS and sold as investments had to be made to low-income and/or credit-compromised borrowers.

F&F are the largest source of mortgage financing in the US.

What could possible go wrong with that federal government edict?

That doesn't mean they had to give them bad advice just to get higher commissions.

It also didn't mean that they had to create NINJA loans.....

Essentially, Uninformed's entire premise is that the poor, weak financial sector got strong armed into this whole mess and was just an innocent bystander. It's laughable. There is no debating that everyone was in on it.

LOL. The pooled assists are the debt obligations that serve as collateral.

Did you know that CDOs sales were $30 billion in 2003 and $225 billion in 2006?

Now what is a synthetic CDO?

The financial sector had no alternative but to keep pushing threshold for risk.... The financial sector has historically NOT been able to influence government policies. AMIRITE?

What bad advice? How is making the loans F&F contracted with them to buy (remember Fannie Mae said Countrywide and its other "best lenders" participated in the GSEs' Affordable Lending programs) "giving bad advice?"

It was explained to you. Odd that the rest seem to be able to grasp it.
