From The Hollywood Reporter -

"The commentator is joining MSNBC's Saturday morning lineup, a move that is sure to raise eyebrows at the network and among the network's left-leaning fans."

MSNBC Gives Conservative Radio Host Hugh Hewitt a Show | Hollywood Reporter

My first thought was MSNBC has discovered 24/7 liberal commentary doesn't pay, but Hollywood Reporter went on to add "MSNBC, which has been soaring lately in both ratings and in advertising prices".

I don't hear Hugh Hewitt in the NYC area very often, but it turns out he's a never-Trumper. Yeah he supported Trump over Hillary, but once Trump gave the conservatives Gorsuch, Hewitt went back to being a never-Trumper.

I suspect MSNBC is hoping Hewitt will turn into David Brooks.

Hewitt is an insufferable prick. Most conservatives can't stand the guy, MSNBC might have been the only place that would pay him. I predict this show crashes and burns a couple weeks in.

I admire Never-Trump conservatives. They are among the few who haven't sold out to this insanity and haven't compromised their values.

He is John McCain on the radio. I would not call him Conservative. I would call him Establishment. A Progressive Republican, like McCain, Graham and Romney are.

Never heard of him. But I suspect he's as conservative as "Morning Joe".
