The Donald, like all really great salesmen, absolutely believes what he is saying at the moment. That makes him very effective salesman. It does not make him sensible or even sane. Just certain.
That is why he is so popular with a limited number of really gullible people. These are the predominantly white low income workers displaced by the outsourcing of their jobs and future by the Wall Street Republicans over the last 30 years. He even restricts his "rallies" to a relatively few, compared to Bernie Sanders anyway, true believers and ejects, with violence, anyone with the temerity to object to the sales pitch. His campaign even sets up opposition riots so he can appear persecuted.
IMHO - Donald Trump does not have a clue about this country's real problems or how to mitigate them. He only knows how to glorify The Donald.
On the other hand the truth is that liberals and ethnocentrics don't want the issue of illegal immigration touched unless it means amnesty for illegal aliens. Illegal immigration does impact not only low income workers but middle income also and all of us in some negative way. That's the bottom line of why they hate Trump is because he wants enforcement of our immigration laws instead.
I'm an independent, and I dislike Trump because he's a horrible politician who is quick to anger, frightfully uninformed about the issues, and changes his tune whenever it's politically expedient. Please do not read that to mean that I don't observe some of the same issues in other candidates, but right now we're discussing Trump.
And you need glasses, or to have your glasses checked, because I'm on the left and that's not the way I think at all, nor do any of my friends, most of whom are also on the left of center.
But most, it not all, left respond with "me or my friends don't do this or that and therefore it doesn't exist". Left claim to care but are only concerned about their own immediate space and their "friends"...

Well, the man who wants those mass deportations claims he'd do it quickly. And just how would rounding up 11,000,000 people who don't want to be found be anything but expensive?
They will self deport when they can't get a job because of e-verify.. and the welfare benefits stop.

The lack of critical thinking is yours. I said no such thing that such thinking does not exist within the spectrum of the left. But when people clump all left-of-center people together as thinking as a block...that's just plain ignorant.
