Using her standard means almost everyone in the US can classify themselves as a "minority" of some sorts.

She plain and simple understood that classifying herself as a "minority" will give her advantages, the same thing that Dolezal did and who knows how many others do.

If she is Native American, that would mean Native Americans constitute the largest ethnic group in the US by far as almost every American has Native American in them.

Maybe she self identifies as an American Indian. We all have that choice.

There is no evidence of that. Most white Americans who undergo DNA tests find only European ancestry.

A quick DNA test would end this issue.

Not necessarily. Those tests do not tell all.

I think it is clear that, for whatever bone-headed reason, Warren mis-stated (or fabricated) about her heritage, and that was a mistake. She has been humiliated by this, and rightly so. And it was also 20 years ago.

George WTC Bush lied about the WMD and lied America into a costly and painful war, a war that killed 100,000 Iraqi civilians and nearly 5,000 American troops. He lied, and the cost was horrific. But where is the outrage on the right about Bush's lies? Where is their American pride, where is their humanity? Anyone who has visited a VA rehab hospital or talked to a maimed-for-life soldier feels, and rightly so, unspeakable hatred for Bush and his gangsters and fellow chickenhawks; that is, except for Republicans.

Warren lied; but no one died. Bush lied, and the cost is unfathomable, yet has ANY Republican gotten down on their knees and publicl begged God and country for forgiveness? Not one. NOT ONE! These creatures are detestable, they are not human. But... Liz lied and that's that -- screw the soldiers: they got shot -- and like Trump said, he like winners, not losers. Losers take a bullet for their country; losers lose limbs and faces and brains -- not pretty, they'd most certainly have to use the back door to Trump Tower because they aren't beautiful, and because they are LOSERS!

This sick and evil mentality didn't start with Delicate Don, they started with the mendacious rank and file right winger, as exhibited in the crazy posts they start here on CD, by example. How DARE they call out Liz over chicken scratch yet given Bush a pass for all the consequences of his lies? These people are sick, and they soil our nation and degrade our country's integrity for their multiple sins.

But they won't shut up! They won't admit their role in the carnage their leader , with heir support, inflicted. They really should shut up and repent, because they lost their right to judge ANYONE. They made a choice between America and conservatism, and they made a very bad choice.

There should be consequences for this barbarity and dishonesty. I don't seek revenge, I seek justice, and that isn't in our hands, that is in God's. I just pray they met him, sooner rather than later, so we can start to rebuild this country's moral standing. We cannot make progress with this malignant cancer still invading our national corpus. But soon. Soon.

Of course no one will ever know, Elizabeth Warren won't take a DNA test, I wonder why?!

Has Elizabeth Warren ever had to walk a single day of her life as a minority? I mean besides when reaping the benefits of getting hired and etc?

You do realize that most blacks in America have some white ancestry. In fact, on average, a black person in the US is 24% white and 0.8% Native American. Should these people qualify as majority status, or at least as Native Americans too? The majority of Black people are as Native American as Elizabeth Warren.

You can almost guarantee that any Hispanic is more Native American than Warren, they average 18% Native American and 65.1% white DNA.

White people need to start taking DNA tests, we all know Warren won't, but there are tens of millions of whites with some black, Asian, or Native American ancestry and they could also qualify as minority status.

It is shameful, that some liberals will bend over backwards to defend Elizabeth Warren stealing minority benefits from a real minority, simply because she has a D after her name.

Who knows. Maybe does have something to hide. Maybe she wont to keep people talking, wondering etc. DNA tests aren't totally accurate though.

If she is part Native American, by her own account, she could be less than 1% Native American and MORE THAN 99% white.

Does that constitute being a minority?

Would you seriously give Native American benefits to someone who:

-Can't prove they have Native American Ancestry
-Is NOT a registered member of any tribe
-Initially only had evidence from word of mouth, which is supported by siblings, but disputed by cousins
-The ancestor who is supposedly part Native American not only LOOKS white, but self-identified as white
-She has ZERO Native American Cultural connections
-Her only connection to being Native American is she overheard grandma say it
-Has fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair

Does this person deserve Native American benefits and minority status?

Is it honest for this person to list on legal documents that she is a minority? If not, shouldn't she lose her law license?

Harvard for all of these years counted her as a Native American hire. Insulting.

Honestly I'm not into denying people their heritage. If it is her heritage, then fine. But if not, it's a shame.

Not concerned as much with how she looks. People look all kinds of ways but that doesn't change if they are mixed.
