Notice a good post in reverence of our fallen heroes and military pride, people can't be serious or support the memory. It is history, but I believe many here cannot identify with it at all. CBS did do a piece on it in tonight's news
Most don't even have a passing interest in any of it.......Ancient history.
Some are still here that can "relate"
My Father and his three brothers served. One of his brothers is interred in the Cemetery at Normandy. An Uncle I never had the priviliege to know.
He made it thru D Day, only to be KIA near Carentan six weeks later during the "breakout". Something none of my relatives ever spoke much of. Something which I am eminently proud of.
