Isn't it hypocritical the GOP are up on arms over trump racist remarks about a Mexican decent judge but okay with trump claims our President isn't American and claimed to have proof which he never provided.

The GOP is full of hypocrisy. I'm not saying the Democratic party is some sort of incarnation of purity - they stink, too, but the nuttiness in Tea Party land is just out of control.

Yes, to answer your question, it is total hypocrisy, but that is to be expected from Trump. Heck, he's actually German born, but pretends to be of Swedish decent because the guy was afraid "Jewish bankers" wouldn't loan him money?! You got to love the layers of bigotry and hypocrisy there!

But the GOP laps this clown up, and it is disgraceful. As we all know, Hillary is a rotten person and this election has produced two of the worst candidates for president in a long time, but by any objective standards there simply is no reason to vote for Trump. There isn't a single personality flaw in Clinton that doesn't also exist in Trump, and often to a worse degree. There isn't a single sleazy or even borderline criminal action that Clinton would take that Trump wouldn't also would take. Republicans jeer and spew about how Trump is going to "fix" America? Based on what? His track record of destroying everything he's ever touched? Or perhaps his record of exploiting the currently existing system to get his way? Yeah, sure - he's going to dismantle the system that granted him his power and which turned a man who should be a total laughingstock into a wealthy presidential candidate... Right...

In the end, people need to see this election for what it is, and perhaps a good analogy is voting for the head of a crime family. Yes, you're getting a sleazy, ruthless person. It sucks, but the chance to fix that passed a long time ago, and even when given better options (such as Sanders), the voters or system rejected them. So, your choices come down to:
  • Hillary "the Fish" Clinton: She knows how politics works, is capable of making appropriate decisions, has an acceptable track record, and understands diplomacy and how to get the job done. Sure, she's not NICE or even GOOD, but she can do what the job requires
  • Donald "The Hair" Trump: Just as heartless and selfish as Clinton, but lacks any relevant experience. Has a long track record of destroying everything he touches while he alone escapes with the loot. Immature, lacks any diplomatic abilities, has limited communications skills, and is unable to admit to when he's wrong. Also prone to violence and bigotry.
Given those two candidates, the choice should obviously be for Hillary since she is objectively the better candidate, even though NEITHER of them are as good what this nation needs, though perhaps they are what so many citizens deserve.

There's also a good deal of brain-washing that's gone on in the Republican party that leads to very odd conclusions that, on the surface, look like hypocrisy but are actually a form of cognitive dissonance. This little tale from work this week will help illustrate the point...

One of my coworkers there, in his 60's, is overall intelligent, hard-working, and a good person. He was talking with my cube-mate and I about things he'd like to see done to improve the nation, such as: better investment in infrastructure, more jobs with living wages, better education, better mass-transit, energy independence, less chemicals and crud in our food, etc. He frequently cited northern European nations as example of places that have done these things better than we here in America have, and he is correct. He then concluded with saying that he's voting for Trump because, "if Hillary gets in, we're all going to be socialist and they'll take our guns."

Huh? Seriously, if he just sat down and listened to what he just said, he clearly - and correctly - wants the US to be more like the northern European socialist democracies, places with objectively higher standards of living than the US and which are less obsessed with short-term profit and violence. But he hates "socialism" - clearly, he doesn't even understand what socialism is.

The brainwashing job that's been done on Americans, where Democrats = socialism = communism = being ruled by a ruthless tyrant is astounding. It is completely incorrect in every way and can be easily disproved with a casual look around the world, but at least a third of Americans will vote directly against their own dreams and the interests of the nation because "they need to keep those communist tyrants out of office."

And I won't even start on the "take our guns" silliness... Nothing was done after the Sandy Hook massacre, so nothing will be done, even small changes that should be made.

Lightbulb Hypocrisy within the GOP

Exactly!

The Pub Party for the past decade has been dancing to the tune of the angry, ignorant, fearful, pessimistic, hateful elements of their base.

Those chickens have come home to roost all over the GOP.

We'll all enjoy the campaign season ahead of us.

Seems like the people who elected him to be the candidate are OK with both statements.

Those on the right in Congress seem to be choking on his statements. They are also those who would be OK with not winning the presidency.

Nothing brings an impotent narcissist to orgasm faster than detecting hypocrisy in the elite. The "other" elite, not their own elite but someone else's elite.

Simpletons.

Behold, someone who, instead of addressing this hypocrisy (among many others), just goes the 'what about the Democrats' route. Which is hilarious, given he's criticizing the OP of only being critical of the party he does not support.

Irony. Beautiful irony.

Also, small government and the war on drugs. Basically in complete contrast, yet... who cares?

There exists hypocrisy and corruption in both parties, and those who refuse to acknowledge that, and demand better, are part of the problem.

If you had a company and these pols were your employees, you wouldn't fire most of them? I would. So why aren't we doing that with these self-serving idiots?

The uninformed are so easy to spot!

You do know that the 'birther' issue was started by the democrats?

As for "proof", it was/is out there but ignored by most everyone.
Why?

Questioning "The Won" would have been/is Racist!

I have to continue to post this everywhere dishonest lefties post!

You are either uninformed or as lots of leftists do .. you lie to mislead!

The original birther?
(From LWNJ Politico no less!)

The answer lies in Democratic, not Republican politics, and in the bitter, exhausting spring of 2008.

One of the first to put his name to the theory was Phil Berg, (Democrat) a former Pennsylvania deputy attorney general who had spent the previous years accusing President George W. Bush of complicity in the Sept. 11 attack.

Berg filed a complaint in federal District court on Aug. 21, 2008, that alleged, “Obama carries multiple citizenships and is ineligible to run for President of the United States. United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1.”

“All the efforts of supporters of legitimate citizens were for nothing because the Obama cheated his way into a fraudulent candidacy and cheated legitimately eligible natural born citizens from competing in a fair process and the supporters of their citizen choice for the nomination,” the suit claims.
