Reddit Mods Delete Orlando Shooting Posts Because Attacker Was Muslim - Breitbart

I don't do Reddit. But I spent an hour digging into this controversy. Evidently the political correctness at Reddit is even worse than at Facebook. There are allegations that Reddit moderators who are Islamic do wholesale censoring.
I especially love the Reddit response to Breitbart's request for information about this (they banned the reporter from asking them any more questions, lol).

Amazing stuff.

Reddit is a private company. The moderators of reddit can do whatever they please. They aren't known for their journalism, so their slanted views aren't really an issue of ethics. Unlike Breitbart...

If you don't like the views of Reddit, don't go to reddit. Or should government control that like any small government would?

A resounding voice in favor of censorship...well done, brave one

I don't support them doing it, but they do have a right to do it. Again, they aren't exactly known for their journalism, are they? I'd sort of laugh if people are going to reddit for news. It's less reliable than Infowars, which...

And if it's individual moderators doing the censoring, what exactly can we on the outside do? If the cutting edge investigatvie journalism of Breitbart found reliable evidence that the government was forcing reddit to do this or that CNN was deliberately lying (not just the selective news that they do, which is in effect lying), then I think a bigger discussion could be had. But there isn't one here. The only reason you've even brought this up, and indeed the only reason Breitbart published this, is because it was criticism of Islam that were being censored.

What happened to freedom of speech? We are being programmed to think one way.. I have noticed this for a while now. We will become a communist nation, globalism will take us over.. the powers that be are placing liberal professors in the schools, to brainwash the kids.. why do you think all the college students love Bernie the socialist?

This government is training the people to think one way or else you will be silenced.. this is in all communist countries..happened in Germany, they take over the press, the tv, and the internet.

The people who support the left are the ones who were conquered first.. they now want to block all thinking individuals into their way of thinking.. by blocking the truth. We are all being trained to think one way .. this is what is happening now..

totalitarianism is a political system where the state recognizes no limits to its authority and strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life wherever feasible.[1] Totalitarian regimes stay in political power through an all-encompassing propaganda campaign, which is disseminated through the state-controlled mass media, a single party that is often marked by political repression, personality cultism, control over the economy, regulation and restriction of speech, mass surveillance, and widespread use of terror. A distinctive feature of totalitarian governments is an "elaborate ideology, a set of ideas that gives meaning and direction to the whole society."[2] The concept of totalitarianism was first developed in the 1920s by the Weimar German jurist, and later Nazi academic, Carl Schmitt and Italian fascists. Schmitt used the term, Totalstaat in his influential work on the legal basis of an all-powerful state, The Concept of the Political (1927).[3] The concept became prominent in Western anti-communist political discourse during the Cold War era as an effort to highlight perceived similarities between Fascist and Soviet Communist Party states in a way that would justify Cold War political divisions.[4][5][6][7][8]

Au contraire. I loathe propaganda, deceit and censorship of all kinds.
YOU can enjoy living a Dilbert-meets-Kafka existence; I choose not to.

"Reddit" did not delete comments. It was the owners/moderators of a sub-reddit who were being over-run with Trump trolls so they just did a blanket keyword ban. Trump trolls are popping up all over on Reddit even in non-election/non-political topics.
