And there you have it folks, a "sensible" gun law.
It's is sensible solution once you consider how rarely safes get broken into in home robberies. You can make as many fantastic scenarios as you want about excavators and the like, but if every gun in America was locked up in a safe, there would be hardly any gun thefts in this country.
The fact that there are guns in America that are locked in a safe is the direct fault of IRRESPONSIBLE gun owners. We need to stop excusing them for their irresponsible behavior, especially since that directly fuels the black market for guns.
I guarantee if gun owners had to pay for their irresponsibility, we'd see a sharp drop in "stolen" and stolen guns. We'd see a sharp drop in the availability of guns on the black market. We'd see a sharper drop in gun crime as it becomes harder & more expensive to get them.
You mean like background checks and waiting periods?
More intensive background checks along with longer waiting periods. In addition, gun shows, as the Al-Qaeda leader encouraged his followers to go to in this video, should no longer be allowed.
The terrorists used knives to pull off their takeover of the planes. The changes they made after 911 had nothing to do with the weapons used to hijack the planes.
Are you suggesting we lock the doors to bars and have us remove our shoes before you enter any public space or business?
How many people do you think Omar could have killed in that night club using a box cutter?
Did we blame easy access to box cutters after 9/11?
Did we limit the size or sharpness of box cutters?
Did we start requiring tougher background checks or waiting periods for those wishing to buy a box cutter?
Did we become irrationally afraid of certain box cutters based on what color they are?
Blaming the tool makes you a tool.
Again, how many people do you think Omar could have killed Saturday night with a box cutter?
Tired of that broken record lame excuse. If you are going to give up anyway, why do you need your guns?
Laws are meant to say what activities are not allowed and to punish those who violate them.
If laws prevented crime, we wouldn't have any murders because murder laws would have prevented them.
We wouldn't have to keep repeating this if you would listen to logic and reason.
