GOP blocks bill to stop terrorists from buying guns | MSNBC

He was able to buy them because the republicans in congress blocked a bill that would have prohibited the sale of guns to people on the FBI watch list.

YES, that is a piece of gun reform that was voted down by the republicans. No doubt the NRA rewarded them handsomely.
Should I assume you want to incarcerate people on those watch lists? If not, why shouldn't they be locked up?

It's not as simple as that. The Dems didn't want to put any kind of remedy in for people that are MISTAKENLY put on it due to having the same name or other reasons they were mistakenly put on it. If they would have agreed to that it would have been signed, but you can't just SUSPECT people of something and take their rights away. I'll ask again, why was he allowed to WORK FOR DHS and carry a weapon if he was on a list? Having a job for DHS is NOT a right and that could have been something they could have done too but didn't. Don't think for one second that if he couldn't buy a gun he wouldn't have just used his work supplied weapon that the FEDS gave him.

Exactly any one could accuse you of something and if it cannot be verified you have done something illegal you should not lose any rights.

Wrong answer, that has ZERO to with why he was allowed to be hired by DHS and supplied a weapon to carry. That is NOT a right. Also, just because you are on a watch list does NOT mean you are a terrorist just because they say so. Again, if the Dems would have agreed to put a way to remedy being falsely put on the list it would have passed, but they didn't want that and there is no way to get yourself off the list if it is a mistake because you share the same name.

So when am I going to be able to have that translucent American Flag background for my Facebook profile, just like France got for their nightclub shooting?

He was not stopped from buying weapons because those behind the gun lobby do not want to put any more restrictions on buying guns. Simple as that.

It has nothing to do with Clinton or Obama or even Bush. It has to do with the NRA and its money and its backers who are nut jobs for not wanting any sort of further reforms in the gun buying process and who have bought our Congress, which prevents them from doing anything about it.

HE was INVESTIGATED, not CONVICTED.

HE was employed by a private security firm.

The American flag is considered offensive. Just use a Mexican flag.
