How about a BAN on assult military rifles in our city's streets and EVERYONE's hands who has loose screws to destroy lives and everything else in their sights.....Please we had none of these assult weapons before the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld job on destorying so much of the middle east.....get a grip, how stupid is everyone's thinking.

Actually they've been around since the first AR was invented in the 50s. People even checked unloaded rifles into airline cabin luggage bins before the seventies.
What we have now is a country full of drugged up young adult patients (ones who'll be surprised they have FDA psychiatric records) agitated on SSRIs, along with the wholesale importation of the Ottoman Empire.

you call for such a ban, and then you turn around and suggest that people who like their rifle should lose the things they love? how about preaching love instead of hate? how about preaching tolerance instead of intolerance?
as for not having any of these weapons before bush, that is total stupidity, remember the assault weapons ban of the mid 90s? perhaps instead of spouting off on things of which you know nothing about you might want to educate yourself first.

No. Any assault rifle is built for one specific purpose. That purpose is fundamentally different from any sporting arm, even though an assault rifle may serve a sporting purpose as a limited second use.

I think we need stricter laws on terrorists in the US. More laws should do the trick and then we can relax. Someone overheard 2 terrorists the other day saying they needed to check the gun laws before they could proceed with their attack.

what we need is more vigilance on the part of the citizens of this country, and these same citizens need to take responsibility for their own safety and security, and stop relying on the government for these things.
