Following the attack last winter in Paris, about half of Facebook users put a French flag on their profile.

But following the Orlando attack, there hasn't been one U.S. Flag that is shown in support of this attack?

Is this how divisive our country is these days? After 9-11, we were united while NOT calling for a ban on box cutters.

If the attacker doesn't represent all of Islam, how does he represent all gun owners?

I was going to post about that too, not only France but the whole world has a rather muted response. But I figured from their perspective it just wasn't that surprising. Horrible but not unexpected.

The news has covered that support is global.

After Orlando Massacre, Signs of Solidarity Around the World Video - ABC News

Forget the stupid flags on Facebook done by people who do nothing but change their photo as a sign of support because they think it makes them look better. Even people I know who have FB accounts find that to be self-serving and lame.

Jeez louise; when did facebook become the freak'n yardstick?

Sandy Hook? You've forgotten already? The world is getting inured to American tragedy as there are far too many of them perpetrated by home growns with no apparent effort being made to do anything whatsoever about them.

Shrugging of shoulders could be understood given the number of times America has endured one of these but I'm sure as heck not seeing any of that as our news is full of this tragedy and vigils are being held all over the country as it was for the weeks following the Sandy Hook, the Columbine, the Charleston church shootings, etc., etc..

The whole world mourns with you as no matter who you are the slaughter of innocents is always a terrible thing.

Please resist the temptation to use Facebook or any other puerile social intercourse webpage postings as a yardstick for anything of merit.

Lol. Unbelievable.

However, many buildings lit up in rainbow colours.. there were candle vigils all over.

This was the nicest tribute though...

ABSOLUTELY self-serving and stupid. Facebook politics are the worse, so many misinformed people who don't even do real research.
