Wanting all semi-autos banned is enough for me, to say she is again wanting to infringe on the civil rights of the people.

After JFK was shot, did they ban all bolt action rifles?

Post WW2 studies done by the military showed that the army that fired more bullets tended to win the gun fight. The Soviets and Nazi's also came to the same conclusion during the war. Hence the development of the StG 44 and then the Ak-47. They knew that they could substitute accuracy and distance because the primary principle was rate of fire.

Yes, those are all Ruger Mini 14s. What makes it an "assault rifle"? The fact that it's a semi-auto rifle that fires .223?
It meets all of the qualifications of a what constitutes an assault rifle. Medium length, intermediate round .223, auto-fed, large magazine capacity, etc... The Mini 14 is basically a scaled down M14. Which is a full on battle rifle. So why should this come as a shock? If anything a Mini 14 makes a better weapon then the M14 when it comes to massacres. The .223 is far easier to manage and you can even attach a 100 round drum mag on it. The weapon is much shorter, can hand the muzzle climb easier.

Why not just create a higher capacity magazine for the M1? Why not issue everyone SAWs, if rate of fire was the end all, be all?

Define etc.....if you have 2 identical guns, one has a pistol grip ad the other does not, the one with the pistol grip is considered an assault weapon....do you agree with that?

Shorter barrels make muzzle rise easier to handle....LOL...you are not showing gun smarts....

Whose definition is that?

Not the ATF's:

(B) A semiautomatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of --

(1) A folding or telescoping stock,
(2) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon,
(3) A bayonet mount,
(4) A flash suppressor or
threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor, and
(5) A grenade launcher;

That was from back in '02 (Brady Bill), however. Trying to track down a current definition from an official source.

That is what the US Army thought it was doing with the M-14 and then retiring their submachine guns in favor of of the M-16 family

If Hillary or Trump, gets taken out with a bolt action deer rifle from a ½-¾ of a mile, will they want to ban all rifles?
