Man shoots, kills robbery suspect in truck

A Phoenix man shot and killed a suspected robber Thursday, claiming it was a case of self-defense, police said.

The suspect then made a U-turn and drove toward the man who was standing on the sidewalk, police said. He fired several shots at the suspect in the truck, hitting him fatally, police said. The suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

If the facts turn out as described, this would be justifiable

FALMOUTH, Va. (AP) - Stafford County authorities say a man fatally shot his girlfriend, their two children and then himself, moments before a concerned relative stopped by to check on the family.
Police say 24-year-old Aaron Jackson used an assault rifle to kill 23-year-old Latasha Thomas last night in a mobile home they shared.
Jackson used a handgun to shoot the couple's two children, 2-year-old Nicole Jackson and 18-month-old Aaron Jackson, then himself.

Man I'm sick of anti-gunners posting chit like this. What point, exactly, do you think you're making? (I'll probably regret asking this...)

If you're pointing the gun the right way, the worst that'll probably happen is a shot into the ground (or floor if you're doing it inside, which isn't always a good idea)...or..you'll shoot yourself in your foot.
I've never cut myself using a knife...because I know HOW to use one.

1. OK, we've established that you're not a mechanical engineer.

2. The goal is not to prevent disassembly, but to prevent disassembly (at least) when a round is already in the chamber.
