I think that they were merely sheep, going wherever their government told them. You know...like our military.

Not even a *close* comparison.

They didn't have a CHOICE.

They could have died fighting, at the least. Do you think our military has a "choice"? No, we go where we're told to go. No one even asks us our opinion on the matter.

Seriously though. For those of you who OWN guns, what makes you think you're bulletproof? What makes you think you have any SKILL in using a weapon, that you can pull it faster, and shoot more accurately than your opponent?

Me, I am skilled in fighting because I've PRACTICED it. From a young age.

Aww, ya got us. We all just went to the store, bought our guns and six bullets (why buy the whole box?), came home, loaded it up and now we all feel like Superman. We never practice. Not once has a bullet actually been fired out of any of our weapons, except for the one test fire at the factory, of course.

Dang, TK, you're just too clever for us gun-totin' rednecks.

Last time I heard, no one is forced to go into the military.

This really is a silly analogy.

Do you mean to imply that you never considered the possiblity that you might be required to handle a weapon when you joined up? I really thought there was better screening at the recruiters than that. I know they bend the rules to make quotas, but really!

I have practiced for many years at gun ranges, I have shot many guns, including .050 cal auto, chineese built AD-47's, US made M-16's, and even a WWII Japaneese Arisaka (which my father owns, and my grandfather took after the war)
I know how to handle a gun, I know how to handle someone that rushes me. aim and pull the trigger, a 9mm will stop someone cold in their tracks. no doubt about it
