I wonder if this story is legit or whether the Washington Examiner is just trying to get conservatives that much more worked up to gin up turnout in November?

Could be possible. I mean many of these judges are getting WELL into advanced ages.

Not Clarence Thomas. He's only in his late 60's; by Supreme Court standards, he's a whippersnapper.

I guess he has a life though. Good for him.

Still I'll be shocked if he actually retires if Hillary wins.

Clarence has no idea what to do since his life partner passed away.

Antonin, that is.

Could be Obama threatened him .. if Clarence Thomas steps down I know that is just what Obama did. Obama has no boundaries.. he is a very radical thinker and as we all know, does his dirty work behind closed doors.

Good point! When someone is murdered, their spouse/boyfriend is usually the #1 suspect. The police may wish to look into Clarence for Antonin's murder. Thinking about this, I don't know why they were against marriage equality.

Ohhh GMAFB~~ BO has more to worry about than SCOTUS Thomas...But BO's hatred that has been a constant on C-D is JUST plain disturbing for those who post here from outside America... Hate breeds HATE!! Look whats happening now?? Geesh

Clarence Thomas was an actual controversial figure back when seeking confirmation..Actually watched some of his demons coming back to haunt him..Conde Rice was one such high profile complainant..YET he got confirmed.

So Puleeze..

It's very interesting. I certainly don't think it's a done deal, but I wouldn't be surprised.

By age, yes. But by tenure, this October will mark 25 years on the high court for Justice Thomas. And of the Justices who have stepped down since 1970, the average tenure of those Justices was 24 years.

As inane, wild-eyed, ludicrous and laughable as that notion is... I have no doubt that you believe every inane, wild-eyed, ludicrous and laughable word of it.

Must be.

What else could possibly explain the death of a fat 79-year-old with high blood pressure and heart problems?
